Homecoming Sunday

Last month we celebrated Homecoming Sunday. It was an interesting morning. Something happened and we were with out power moments before the service began. Just how you'd like to begin on a Sunday when you have one of the largest gatherings of the year! But we gave thanks to God for the gift of the day and reflected back on and wondered how many times the people of God of that community had gathered in the same space we were gathered over the last 90 or so years under less than ideal circumstances and yet found ways of offering praise to God.

And of course the best part of any Homecoming Sunday is the food... we shared a great meal together after worship. Thanks to everyone who was a part of this day and helped to make it something special! Here are a few pictures from lunch that day...
